It was a pleasure to be part of the symposium Expanding Public (Im)Possibilities at Fontys University in Tilburg (NL) on february 22nd. The interdisciplinary speakers gave inputs for discussion in four panels, exploring different aspects of Public Space. In the afternoon we enjoyed a live journalism performance by alumni from the Master Performing Public Space in collaboration with journalism students. The highlight of the day was the virtual lecture by Rebecca Schneider about the monument and the quarry.
I presented my FEMonumental Transformance project in the panel about disrupting established institutionalised practices in public space and enjoyed the discussions very much! I took with me lots of new connections – in my brain and in a social sense.
